Who we Are... The
Special Operations division is comprised of highly trained, highly
motivated Emergency Medical Technicians. The division is broken down
into three groups:
- Emergency Response Team: A team of six
members that are highly trained, highly motivated, and specializing in advanced casualty management in any type of
situation from HazMat to Terrorisim.
- Medical Bike Patrol: Introduced in Spring
of 2005 this team of eight spreads themselves out during a Large
Scale Incident. An LSI is considered to be a high risk area of
injury for EMS and where our greatest good would be done serving the
residents of Hillsdale. This team is the first of it's kind in the
medical aspect in the Pascack Valley Area.
- Homeland Security Planning: From a daily to a
weekly basis this division receives a large amount of information
with regards to activity in the State to Federal to the world level
and peruses it to take necessary actions to be prepared.
